Home Parish: St. Christopher, Houston, TX
My name is Thuc Nguyen. I grew up in Viet Nam and I am from Diocese of Arlington, Virginia. As an oldest son of three in my family, there are many responsibilities and challenges to deal with; however, I am happy and always try to be good because I know God is always with me. My family is very active in the parish. My whole family has received a lot of blessings from God. Sometimes in my life, when I look back to what God has given to my family, I am really impressed.
My family is blessed and I want to share what I have received from God with other people. Moreover, because God loves all of us unconditionally that He gave His only son to us, I am really amazed and want to do His will, to be His follower. If the Lord loves us so that He has died for us, we do not have to hesitate to accept His calling, to respond, and to find Him for a full and abundant life. I am really excited about being a seminarian. I think God has already made a way for me; indeed, He already makes ways for every one of us that we just cannot see right now. Recalling to what Blessed Virgin Mary said to the servers in the wedding at Cana, “Do whatever he tells you” (Jn 2, 1-11), we see how much our mother trusted in the Lord. I hope that all people in the world will totally trust in God and will do what he wants us to do. Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, prays for all of us that we will humbly accept His will and complete our journey according to what he commanded.
