Priest Formator, Coordinator of Liturgical Formation
Fr. Michael G. Earthman, STD is a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and was ordained to the priesthood in 2007. He is currently a member of the Formation Faculty at St. Mary’s Seminary and on the Adjunct Faculty of the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
He recently completed doctoral studies at the Institute of Liturgy of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. His dissertation topic focused on the Order of Mass of Divine Worship: The Missal, a recently-promulgated adaptation of the Roman Missal for former Anglicans which includes elements from the Anglican Liturgical Patrimony for use within the celebration of Mass.
He holds a Doctorate and Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome (2021, 2018), a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Thomas in Houston (2007), a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore (2007), and a Bachelor of Music from Vanderbilt University in Nashville (1996).
