Home Parish: Prince of Peace Church, Houston, TX
It wasn’t until my senior year of college that I opened myself up to the idea of priesthood. Thankfully it was the year of the priest, which turned out to be a blessing for me because I identify so much with St. John Vianney, the patron saint of priests. The summer of 2009 is when I first felt the call to discern the priesthood.
The past seven years I’ve prayed about this calling, sought counsel through clergy, found a spiritual director, and eventually decided to apply to seminary. After having completed my first year of formation I realize how blessed I am because I’ve grown closer to God and have come to a better understanding of myself as a man of God.
Favorite Scripture: “Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
